Praise God for His leading! I was once a sinner who didn’t know Christ, but chosen through
God’s grace and now I am blessed to be part of God’s work in this church.
Praise God that 3 years ago through the Sunday school principle Judy Chen’s invitation, I joined Children’s ministry. This ministry needs time commitment and hard work. Though the effects may not be seen immediately, this is an investment with the greatest reward in heaven and earth. For we are nurturing “A Heritage from the Lord.” (Psalms 127:3) |

Praise God! We have brothers and sisters in church who love the Lord and follows God’s
teachings, “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.”
(Proverbs 22:6) “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all
your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children.
Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road,
when you lie down and when you get up.” (Deuteronomy 6:5-7) They served wholeheartedly and gave their all.
Praise God! Children’s ministry was a one-man show, from Sunday school principle to time keeper. Now it has nursery (newborn – 2.5 yr olds), Preschoolers (2.5 – 5 yr olds), and Elementary (1-6th grade) departments with directors responsible for each category. From a time when no one knew who the Sunday school teacher is, to now where there are four deacons responsible for children’s worship, Sunday school, caring and fellowship. This is God’s grace! Praise God for the dedication of the Sunday school principle, teachers and coworkers in the past years. May the Lord bless you! We thank and encourage the coworkers, teachers and assistants as well. Children ministry is not a lonely endeavor but group effort. It is not an aimless race, but our goal is to raise soldiers for Christ. We pray that our Heavenly Father will raise up more dedicated brothers and sisters to serve these little ones. May the Lord bless this ministry and magnify its effects! And may the Lord bless our homes, because we give what we have joyfully! May God’s kingdom grow! |

Biography Pastor Amy Lin was raised in a Buddhist family, and came to the United States to study, and heard the gospel through a Christian roommate. In 1993 she was baptized by Pastor Samuel Wu and entered Talbot School of Theology the next year to be equipped. In 1999 she graduated with Master of Divinity and served in EFC Irvine until now. She is responsible for education, children’s ministry, and educational center. |

林牧師的話: 感謝神的帶領!本是不認識上帝的罪人, 但蒙神的恩典與選召,今日有福份與上帝 同工,一起建造神的教會. 感謝三年前, 主日學校長 Judy Chen的”邀約”, 加入兒童事工服事團隊. 兒童事工是一個 需要長時間投入, 殷勤耕耘的服事. 雖未 能立即見到果效, 但這個投資是天上及地 面上報酬率最高的投資, 因為我們所 栽培的乃是 “耶和華所賜的產業.”(詩篇 127篇3節) 感謝神!教會中有一群愛主的弟兄 姐妹,他們照著主的教訓,”教養孩童,使他走 當行的道,就是到老他也不偏離.”( 箴言第 二十二章第6節)”你要盡心,盡性,盡力,愛耶和 華你的 神. 我今日所吩咐你的話, 都要記 在心上,也要殷勤教訓你的兒女, 無論你坐在 家裡,行在路上,躺下,起 來,都要談論.” (申命記第六章5-7節) 他們默 默服事全然擺上. 感謝神!兒童事工部從主日學校校長兼敲鐘 ”一人show,”到現在分為嬰兒 (1個月- 2 ½歲), 學 前 (2 ½ - 5歲) 和小學 (1st- 6th年級)三部門主任負責, 由沒有長執知道自己孩子的主日學老師是誰, 到現在有四位執事負責兒童崇拜, 主日學, 關懷, 和團契. 這一切都是神的恩典! 感謝歷年來兒童主日學校長, 老師及眾同工的付出,願神親自紀念你們!也為現任所有 同工,老師,助教們加油打氣.兒童事工是團隊事奉,不是 單打獨鬥,也不是奔跑無定向,我們的目標是培育神國 度的將才,祈求天父興起更多愛主的兄姐來服事這些小 弟兄,小姐妹. 願我們所作的工蒙神的賜福,有加倍的果效! 也願神祝福我們的家,因我們甘心樂意的擺上,神的國 度要大大的擴展! |

關於林牧師:
成長於父母篤信佛教兼道教拜拜的家庭,來 美國讀書時因基督徒室友而接觸到福音, 1993年在吳德聖 牧師開導下受洗, 隔年進入 Talbot School of Theology 受裝備. 1999年 Master of Divinity 畢 業後服事於愛恩台福基督教會至今. 負責教育, 文教中心, 兒童事工. |
